Middletown police say the man charged with murdering his infant son admitted to tossing his child into the Connecticut River.
They say 22-year-old Tony Moreno has been recovering in the hospital since he was pulled from the water after police say he threw his son off a bridge Sunday and jumped in afterwards.
Court documents say Moreno told police he threw the child at a "free-throw distance" off the Bridge.
The body of the baby was found near a swing bridge in East Haddam Tuesday night.
