A police-involved shooting prompted the lockdown of an intersection in Stamford Tuesday.
Police were tight-lipped about the incident, but did confirm that a shooting took place at a multi-family home at the corner of Lillian Street and Lockwood Avenue. Police would not say if more than one person was involved. They did say officers fired their weapons. One man was taken to Stamford Hospital by ambulance with a gunshot wound.
The home where the shooting occurred is directly across the street from the International School at Rogers Magnet. Parents rushed to the elementary school to pick up their children after the shooting.
