Police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a teenage boy Thursday in Bridgeport.
Police say 14-year-old Luis Colon was standing with a group of about 10 people outside the Stylz barber shop on State Street when two other people, 23-year-old Michael Majors and 17-year-old Trey Kaiser, walked up to the group.
They say Majors began firing at the group, and Colon was caught in the crossfire. One of the men within the group returned fire, striking Kaiser in the leg.
Colon, who was hit in the chest, was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where he later died. Kaiser was also sent to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
Majors was later arrested and is being held on $1 million bond.
