Stamford police said Monday the man they arrested in connection with the death of a Greenwich plastic surgeon waited 13 hours before calling 911.

Police said 32-year-old Leonard Bajramaj gave Dr. Ian Rubins the drugs he used before his death last Wednesday morning. Authorities said Bajramaj, Rubins? former pool maintenance worker, ran errands while the doctor slipped in and out of consciousness after shooting himself up with heroin and cocaine.

According to police, Bajramaj noticed Rubins was unresponsive in his Stamford apartment, but left several times. Authorities said Bajramaj even bought himself shoes with Rubins? credit card. Police said Bajramaj called EMS around 6:30 p.m.

Police said they found drug paraphernalia in the trash outside of Bajramaj?s apartment. Bajramaj is charged with first-degree manslaughter. He is being held on $750,000 bond.
