Stamford police say a fatal shooting in Milford and a man’s self-inflicted shooting at Cummings Beach in Stamford are connected.

Milford police say a male suspect went to a home on Housatonic Avenue and West Main Street around 6 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the suspect confronted two people who live there and fatally shot a man named Chaz Wright.

Police say the suspect drove to Stamford and shot himself before he could be taken into custody. He's in serious condition and being treated at Stamford Hospital.

Police have not released the suspect's name yet.
