Police say a man armed with an assault rifle robbed a liquor store in Shelton.
Officers arrested Jose Balseiro,49, after he was located in Hartford shortly after the suspected robbery.
Police say Balseiro walked in to Cleto's Package Store at 402 Howe Ave. around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday holding an AR-15-style rifle and demanded money.
No one was hurt, and authorities say Balseiro left the store with cash and other items.
Shelton police used surveillance video from the store to identify Balseiro's car.
Shelton police say they worked with departments in Seymour, Derby, New Haven, and West Haven to track Balseiro.
State troopers located Balseiro's car in Hartford at 11 p.m. where he was eventually arrested.
He is being held on $225,000 bond.
