A Wilton man was arrested over the weekend after police say they cleared out a rowdy bat mitzvah at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum in Norwalk.
Police say 52-year-old Peter Finnie was arrested Saturday after teens at the bat mitzvah allegedly got involved in acts of vandalism and sex.
"Management at the mansion reported that young people were allegedly engaged in sexual behavior at the mansion in some of the bathrooms," says Norwalk Police Officer Carlten Giles.
Police say ceiling tiles at the museum were misplaced, light fixtures were damaged and some of the 150 teenagers attending the event were running in restricted areas of the mansion.
Neighbors say the bat mitzvah was thrown for Finnie's 13-year-old niece. Police say he questioned the authority of officers who arrived at the museum and became belligerent.
Finnie faces charges of trespassing, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer.
