Police say a man was arrested in Bridgeport Saturday after officers found a gun misplaced in his vehicle.

Officials say there were reports of gun shots fired on Orchard Street.

A car was also seen leaving the scene.

Police say 25-year-old Stanley Peterkin was in the vehicle when it was located.

The gun was found in between the driver's seat and the center counsel.

Peterkin faces multiple charges which includes negligent storage of a firearm.
