Police say a woman is dead after she was shot in a driveway at a home in New Hartford.
The incident happened on Saturday shortly before noon.
Police say when the woman got home, there were signs of a violent struggle inside.
According to police, Efrain Vazquez was taken into custody at the scene.
Vazquez was taken to the hospital first as they found him on the ground suffering from an apparent medical condition, but he has since been released.
Vazquez is facing several charges including murder.
