A man has been arrested for driving with an illegal ghost gun in Stratford, authorities say.
Police say narcotics and vice detectives on Bruce Avenue Tuesday observed a Blue Saturn that had a license plate belonging to a black Infiniti.
Detectives attempted to pull over the vehicle. They say the driver, Tayvarie Newton, engaged in a slow-speed pursuit with officers.
Newton eventually pulled into a driveway on Burritt Avenue and was arrested.
In addition to the ghost gun, officers say they discovered Newton was in possession of marijuana.
Newton faces several charges, including illegal transfer of a firearm, illegal possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, misuse of registration plates and engaging police in pursuit.
Newton is being held on $100,000 bond and is expected to appear in court next week.
