A man has been found dead inside a Milford building destroyed by a fire, Milford police say.
The blaze at the abandoned commercial building happened Monday night at Roses Mill Road.
Police say the body of an elderly man was found in the basement, where flames were seen coming from. The fire spread to the attic, causing the roof to collapse.
The building has been vacant for more than 10 years, and authorities tell News 12 Connecticut they are not sure if the man was dead prior to the fire, or died as a result of injuries sustained in the fire.
The man has not been identified. Officials found the body Tuesday night during their inspection of the building.
