A 49-year-old man was found dead inside a Milford home after some type of 'conflict', police say.

Police say another resident of the home on Anderson Avenue called 911 around 10 p.m. Sunday to report that the man, identified as Christopher Peckham, was unconscious.

Peckham was pronounced dead at the scene within 10 minutes of officers arriving.

Police say they are very familiar with the home and have responded to multiple calls there in the past. They say they believe 12 people either live in the house or outside of it in cars or tents.

Officers say Peckham was suffering from recent, noticeable injuries. Officials say the cause of death was a blow to the upper torso.

Police have arrested Ricky M. Garcia, 57, and charged him with manslaughter. Garcia is believed to be one of the residents of Peckham's home.

Garcia is being held on $250,000 bond.
