Police say a man was shot during a fight between a group of women in Cummings Park near Shippan Avenue Friday night.
Authorities say the 35-year-old man was shot in the leg. The victim was taken to Stamford Hospital and is expected to be OK.
Investigators say they are not sure what happened due to a lack of cameras in the area and the alleged unreliability of witnesses.
Parkgoers say they are surprised by the incident and add that the park is generally very safe.
