A Mastic Beach was arrested after police said exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl last month just a few blocks from William Floyd High School.

They say the incident that involved 19-year-old Davion Commodore happened at 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 7.

According to police, the girl was walking on Mayfield Drive in Mastic Beach when a man driving an SUV stopped the vehicle, opened the door, and exposed himself to the girl while committing a lewd act.

Police arrested Commodore at 901 Boulevard East in Yaphank, which is a shopping center, Sunday at 11:30 a.m.

He is charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child.

Commodore was released on a desk appearance ticket. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident, or who believes they may be a victim of Commodore, to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
