Police: Meriden man accused of suffocating victim in front of her child

Milford police arrested a Meriden man accused of suffocating a female victim while her toddler child was present.
Police said Edgar Alamo threw the victim on the floor by the hair and then threw her child on the couch.
Alamo was charged with strangulation, threatening, unlawful restraint and risk of injury.
He was arrested on April 28 and is being held on a $175,000 bond.
