Police are investigating a homicide that happened in New Haven last week.
Officials say 52-year-old Sherri Ruffin was found strangled to death in her home on Thursday.
An autopsy revealed that Ruffin died of compression to her neck.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call police.
