A family had a brief scare after a nanny didn't return home for hours with a toddler in her care.
According to police, Lesia Maksymenko, 50, of Stamford, claims she was lost and the app on her phone sent her the wrong way.
A search was called in by Norwalk and surrounding police departments before the child was brought back to the panicked family.
Maksymenko’s vehicle had been reported for driving erratically earlier in the day.
She has been charged with second-degree custodial interference and risk of injury to a minor.
