Nearly a dozen police officers in Hartford are recovering after they became sick when exposed to large amounts of opioids during a drug bust.
Police say 11 members of the SWAT team were exposed to the drugs while performing a search warrant Tuesday night.
Police made three arrests and seized 50,000 bags of heroin, three-quarters of a pound of raw heroin, fentanyl and guns.
Authorities say the officers reported nausea, light-headedness, sore throats and headaches.
