? Norwalk police are investigating what they say was a hate crime against a black police officer.

A racial slur was found scratched into Patrol Officer Kenny Fludd?s personal vehicle. Fludd found the ?N? word scratched into the back of his car Thursday morning. The vehicle was parked outside of his Surrey Drive home.

Investigators are not sure if the incident was a random act or one targeting the 20-year department veteran.
