Monroe police say they responded to a Monroe gas station after a driver called from his car following an attempted carjacking.
The man was pumping gas when two people approached and displayed guns, he ducked into his car and drove away, police say.
According to police, the two people with guns drove toward Trumbull.
News 12's Tom Krosnowski was at the gas station earlier this morning and spoke with a gas station clerk, who was unaware of the incident until police went inside.
