A senior citizen was found lying in a driveway with multiple injuries in Ridgefield, police say.
The incident happened Monday between 11:50 a.m. and 12:05 p.m. on High Ridge Avenue between Catoonah Street and Griffth Lane.
Police say there was a call to 911 for a woman who had a fallen in her driveway.
Police say the woman was found lying in a driveway with multiple serious upper-body injuries, and they are trying to identify what happened.
They say the woman was being attended to by a passerby before police arrived.
Ridgefield Police Capt. Shawn Platt says the department is considering all the information that they can get.
Platt says when the woman was asked what had happened to her, she could not remember.
"We're not really specific on if she was involved in a fall, or if there was some other type of vehicle involved striking her," Platt says.
However, he says they do not suspect foul play.
Anyone with information or who was traveling on High Ridge Road between the hours listed above is being asked to contact Capt. Bryan Terzian at 203-431-2799.
