A woman from Ridgefield was arrested and charged for a DUI and operating a vehicle without a license at Cider Mill School.
On Dec. 22, Wilton police say they responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver at Cider Mill School on 240 School Road. While en route, officers were advised that she was seen getting into a white 2019 Nissan Sentra and driving out of the parking lot.
As officers arrived on scene, they observed the Nissan quickly turn back into the parking lot of Cider Mill School, park and the driver attempt to exit her vehicle. Police say the driver, 48-year-old Jolene Matthews, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Multiple empty alcohol containers were located inside of her vehicle, and she failed to perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests to standard.
She was then arrested and charged with a DUI and operating a vehicle without a license.
