Stamford police are searching for a group of men responsible for two separate robberies in which the victims were stabbed.
Police say they are looking for at least three men in connection with the crimes. They also believe the men are targeting Hispanic day laborers.
The most recent incident occurred early Saturday morning at 265 Greenwich Ave. where one laborer was approached by three hooded men. The worker was stabbed after being told to give up his bike.
The first attack happened last week in the same area when a day laborer was approached by two men in hooded sweatshirts and told to hand over his cell phone. The man was then stabbed seven times, suffering a punctured lung and lacerations to his liver.
Stamford police say the victims are expected to recover. They are now increasing patrols in the area and asking people to travel in groups.
