Local and state police began searching for a bank robber Friday afternoon in Westport.
Police say the robbery occurred Friday morning, at the Hudson Valley Bank branch in the Birchwood Corner shopping plaza, on Post Road West, just before 10:30.
Police dogs were brought out to pick up a scent trail left by the suspected robber.
People working in the shopping center say they were unaware that the bank was robbed until told by police.
This is not the first time the Hudson Valley bank branch has been robbed.
