Police are looking for a man who ran off after attempting to rape a woman in Saint Mary's Park on Saturday.
They say the suspect, who appeared to be between 20 and 25 years old, followed a 20-year-old woman along East 149th Street, down Jackson Avenue and into the park. He then reportedly pulled out a box cutter and pulled on the victim's shirt and under her clothing.
Police say he threw the victim to the ground and climbed on top of her. The woman then screamed for help and the suspect fled.
Authorities say the victim was not injured.
