Several guns have been removed from Bridgeport's streets after a police operation.
Bridgeport police say Clay Anthony McRay, 29, was arrested on Friday on Highland Avenue.
He was found carrying an illegal semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
McRay was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit and illegal transfer of a firearm.
His bond was set at $150,000.
Authorities also conducted a search at a home on Highland Avenue and found two additional guns, three high-capacity magazines and 249 grams of Marijuana.
Police say more arrests are expected.
They also say the investigation is part of an effort to reduce gun violence in the city, which has led to a decline in shootings this year.
