Police say a Stamford man attacked five officers who were responding to a domestic violence call.
Police say 32-year-old Jackson Harris went to pick up his three kids from their grandmother's house to take them to school, but that when he arrived he was high on PCP. Police say Harris refused to leave the home on Depinedo Avenue near Home Depot.
Officers working a construction detail nearby heard the shouting and confronted Harris. That's when they say he attacked the officers.
Police say Harris was not in his right mind and that it shows how dangerous the drug can be.
"It gives you the strength of 10 men, so that one individual with strength of 10 men and you can see why it to took five individuals to take him down," says Capt. Tom Barcello, of the Stamford Police Department. "Eventually he was Tasered and handcuffed."
Harris is charged with assaulting police officers and risk of injury to a minor. Police say the children were not harmed.
Harris is being held on $100,000 bond and is due back in court Wednesday.
