Police say a Stamford man is facing charges for allegedly stealing a necklace from a toddler. Authorities say it happened today at a busy Laundromat, Laundry Garden South. They say Jose Gonzales, 22, grabbed the necklace off a 2-year-old girl while she was playing. Police say two other men watched Gonzales grab the necklace and run, and they followed him to a nearby apartment. The necklace was recovered and Gonzales was arrested. Police say Gonzales already had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on other charges.
