Extra police patrols are on the road for the Thanksgiving holiday.
They will be looking for aggressive, drunken and distracted drivers through the weekend.
Officials are on the lookout for people on cellphones and drivers speeding or following too close to other cars.
They say the best option on busy travel days is to take the train. Metro-North has extra trains running for Thanksgiving. A special schedule will also be in effect for Black Friday.
