State police have made an arrest in the hit-and-run that killed a state trooper on I-84 in Southington.
Alex Oyola-Sanchez, 44, faces multiple charges, including second-degree manslaughter, in the hit-and-run that killed Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier.
Bond has been set at $5 million.
Authorities had said Pelletier, of Troop H-Hartford, was standing outside his cruiser conducting a traffic stop when he was sideswiped by a red pickup truck and killed. They also had said the driver fled the scene but was arrested near Exit 39A after the truck broke down.
