A teenager was in a car as it was being stolen, according to police.

It started at 16 Handles Frozen Yogurt on the Post Road in Fairfield just after 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the teen was waiting in the car when the thief jumped into the Mercedes.

The thief allegedly yelled at the teen to get out and then drove away.

Fairfield police located the car in Bridgeport, and followed it on I-95, but lost sight of the car in Westport.

News 12 is told it was eventually found in Derby.
