Westport police have arrested a 16-year-old in connection to a daytime carjacking in a Westport man's garage.
Police say the attack happened at a house on Bayberry Lane around 3:50 p.m. Sunday after the thieves targeted the victim and followed him home.
They say the victim had just pulled into the garage and was still in his Aston Martin when two men wearing masks came through the open garage door.
According to police, the suspects implied they had a gun and ordered the victim out of his car. When he refused, it got violent.
The incident was caught on camera.
Police say the teen was arrested at a home in Waterbury. He is facing multiple charges, including strangulation, burglary and assault.
The Aston Martin was recovered from a home in Berlin, along with three other high-end cars.
Police say the stolen cars were found at a home occupied by 39-year-old Derrick McGill. McGill was arrested by the Bridgeport Auto Theft Task Force and faces multiple charges, including larceny and illegal operation of a chop shop.
The victim was injured but declined medical attention.
Police say they are looking for additional suspects in the Westport carjacking.
The Westport Police Department is hosting a town forum focused on public safety at Town Hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
