Three suspects accused of robbing and assaulting a taxi driver Saturday in West Hempstead are facing charges, according to police.
Detectives say the incident began after the driver brought Chance Richardson and two males under the age of 18 to their destination.
The trio allegedly got into a physical altercation, which ended with them stealing money from the console and then fleeing the scene on foot.
Police say they located the suspects a short time later and arrested them without incident.
