Police say a Westport man overdosed while driving on I-95 with two kids in the car.
They say the incident happened last October.
Authorities say Alexander Gomez lost consciousness, hit the concrete barrier and an exit sign.
At the time of the accident, police say Gomez had a 7-year-old and an 11-month-old in the car and the children were not in proper safety seats.
Gomez is being held on $150,000 bond.
