Police said they responded to a call about two victims at the site. Both were taken to a hospital in the Berkshires and are expected to survive.
Witnesses told police the attack was unprovoked and that young children saw what happened.
Jeffrey Deluca is facing several felony charges, including armed assault with intent to murder.
