Police say a woman is in custody after a woman was stabbed early Thursday evening in Yonkers.
Authorities say it happened around 5 p.m. near the intersection of Warburton Avenue and John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive.
Two young women were in a dispute when one of them brandished a knife and cut one of the victim's hands, according to investigators.
Police say the victim attempted to seek shelter at a nearby school, which was closed.
She was taken to the hospital where she was being treated for injuries that were not life-threatening as of Thursday evening.
It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbing.
