A new survey suggests that many Americans would not trust artificial intelligence when it comes to their own health care.
The Pew Research poll found that 60% of Americans surveyed would be uncomfortable with their provider relying on AI in their own health care, especially for tasks such as diagnosing disease and recommending treatments.
The survey also found that 80% of Americans surveyed would not want AI involved in their mental health care.
Those surveyed said that they feared that the technology would be used before it was fully understood what the risks to patients would be, according to Pew Research Center.
