Potential storm system this week before Halloween

Time to dig out the winter gear, at least for the mornings. Temperatures are running cooler than normal for late October.
The workweek kicks off on a brisk note, with morning lows dipping into the frosty 30s and daytime highs struggling to climb past the mid-50s.
As high pressure exits the region today, a developing low-pressure system tracking through the Southeast will bring increasing chances for rain from late Wednesday through the end of the week.
Thursday looks to be the wettest day, but conditions are expected to improve just in time for Halloween night. In total, 1-3 inches of rain is possible with wind gusts up to 40 mph.
TROPICAL UPDATE: Hurricane Melissa continues to be a strong, powerful CAT 5 and slow-moving storm battering the Caribbean. It is forecast to make landfall in Jamacia. The forecast track, as of now, does not call for any direct impacts to the continental US.
