Striking Pratt & Whitney workers are still on the picket line after union members overwhelmingly rejected Pratt & Whitney's final contract offer last Sunday. The contract covers 3,100 workers at the company's two locations in Connecticut.
Union leaders say they want job security, pensions and livable wages that keep up with inflation. Pratt & Whitney sent a letter to workers expressing disappointment with their decision to strike. The letter also outlines the company's final contract offer and says workers should think about how rejecting the deal will affect their families.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal joined Mark Sudol to discuss the strike, national security concerns and other issues.
Also, the Trump administration has proposed the largest cuts in the history of the National Park Service’s 109-year history. Nature filmmaker Tomas Koeck, of Easton, discussed the potential impact of those cuts.
