George Logan announced this week that he will run against Rep. Jahana Hayes. He made the announcement Monday in Watertown. It will be a rematch of the 2022 race which was one of the most watched races in the country. Logan. a Republican, is a former Connecticut state senator, who works for the Aquarion water company.
He lost his challenge for Jahana Hayes' 5th District congressional seat during the general election last November. Also, Stamford's Charter Revision Commission has announced its final proposals to the city's Board of Representatives. The proposals include an expansion of the Board of Representatives' ability to hire its own legal counsel, a requirement that certain city officials live in Stamford and proposed changes to the appointment process for city boards and commissions. Stamford Mayor Caroline Simmons joins the show.
And California Rep. Kevin McCarthy is out of his job as House speaker. It was the first time in our nation's history that a speaker has been ousted.
