This week, New York's highest court ordered the state to redraw its congressional lines ahead of the 2024 elections. The judicial decision could have major impacts on which party ultimately controls the U.S. House of Representatives after Republicans flipped several seats during the 2022 midterms. The state's bipartisan Independent Redistricting Commission is now back to the drawing board as it comes up with new congressional lines.

Senior reporter Tara Rosenblum spoke with the chair of that committee and Deputy Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins on the decision, the process and why this all matters.

Also weighing in is Westchester Legislator David Imamura, a former Independent Redistricting Commission chairman.
