A large section of South Norwalk had power restored this morning following an hourslong outage.
South Norwalk Electric and Water reported the outage about 3:30 p.m. Monday. News 12 Connecticut still has not heard what caused the outage.
Much of South Norwalk's main commercial area was without power for several hours Monday night. The lights were out on South Main Street, forcing many busy restaurants to close their doors.
South Norwalk Electric and Water says over 100 people and dozens of restaurants were affected.
People wanting to beat the heat can still go to the Community Room at the Norwalk Police Department Headquarters at 1 Monroe St. The location is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
