Powerful spring storm brings heavy rain, damaging winds
Parts of Connecticut remain under a high wind warning as a ferocious spring storm buffets the state with damaging winds and heavy rain.
The high wind warning is in effect for parts of the state through 8 p.m.
News 12 meteorologists say scattered showers and the chance for thunderstorms are hanging around to start the evening, but will taper off as the storm pulls away tonight.
The winds will begin to diminish this evening as well.

Overnight hours will be partly cloudy with winds diminishing to 15 to 30 mph.
Conditions improve for Tuesday, which will be breezy and partly sunny with highs in the mid-50s.
