Police say the teen accused of stabbing Tykwan Hunt just over a year ago appeared in Stamford Superior Court Thursday for a pre-trial hearing.
Amos Brown Jr., 17, is charged with murder in the January 2008 stabbing death of Hunt. Hunt?s body was found in the parking lot of a Norwalk McDonald?s.
Brown?s mother, Shannon Robinson, spoke out Tuesday, saying that she knows her son was involved in the stabbing of Hunt, but is not a murderer. Robinson also says she believes Hunt?s family is responsible for his death. According to Robinson, Hunt would have survived his stab wounds if Hunt?s mother wasn?t allegedly involved in staging the crime.
Hunt?s parents, who attended the hearing, say they had absolutely no involvement in their son?s death.
Brown appeared in court for less than five minutes Tuesday and is due back Feb. 4.
