Connecticut synagogues are preparing for Passover with COVID-19 precautions in place, despite some restrictions being lifted.
Beth Israel Chabad in Norwalk is planning a low-profile public Seder in the community hall.
The rabbi says people have been desperate to connect and, unlike last year, there is the chance to do that while incorporating precautions.
Rabbi Yehoshua Hecht adds families observing at home have more latitude to have a Seder that includes relatives and guests.
He compares what is happening now to the Passover story because he believes we are seeing the start of liberation.
Other synagogues in the area are still doing most or all services online. They have virtual events planned for Passover such as an online community Seder.
