President Barack Obama will be in Bridgeport Wednesday to campaign for Gov. Dannel Malloy.
People from all over the state were in Bridgeport Wednesday, hoping to score a free ticket to see Obama speak at Central High School Wednesday night. Only 2,500 were available beginning at 3 p.m.
The Rev. Mary Lee of El Shaddai Church of God in Christ says Malloy called her last week to ask if she would give invocation before Obama's speech. She says she is very excited and has opted not to prepare anything so she can speak from the heart while at the podium.
Obama is scheduled to speak at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the high school.
