A carjacking suspect was shot during a confrontation with police Saturday in North Arlington, according to the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Officers approached the armed suspect around 5 p.m. on Porete Avenue.
The unidentified suspect was shot at some point during the encounter and then taken to a nearby hospital.
Prosecutors say the person was discharged and remains in police custody.
