Rate increases are coming for United Illuminating customers after the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority approved $2 million in additional revenue Tuesday.

That brings their revenue requirement to just under $68 million for the current rate year, which runs through October.

The Office of Consumer Counsel says it will result in increases to customers.

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong says he is going to push back on costs.
