Rain tapers off in Connecticut; hot and humid conditions on Monday

News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Scott Syncoff says nearly three inches of rain fell across portions of western Connecticut Sunday with areas along the Housatonic and Connecticut Rivers having minor flooding. The good news is that the rivers will be cresting and will fall back to normal on Monday and Tuesday.
OVERNIGHT: Rain exits, turning muggy and warm. Lows around 70.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny, hazy, hot, and humid. Highs around 90. 
TUESDAY: Sunshine with an afternoon or evening thunderstorm possible. Highs in the 80s.
WEDNESDAY: Increasing clouds with a possible shower late. Highs in the 80s.
THURSDAY: Sunshine with an afternoon shower or storm chance. Highs in the 80s.
FRIDAY: Partly to mostly cloudy with a shower or sprinkle. Highs in the 80s.
SATURDAY: Partly to mostly sunny. Highs in the 80s.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy. Highs around 80.
