Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says colder conditions arrive Wednesday morning with a chance for a wintry mix on Thursday.
WHAT'S NEW:
Temperatures drop into the 30s by Wednesday morning. A few showers have developed out ahead of the front for this evening, but it looks like most of that will miss western Connecticut.
WHAT'S NEXT:
Another fast-moving storm system comes our way for Thursday. Temperatures won't be quite as warm. As it approaches, there could be some brief snow/wintry mix north of I-84 and in the hills very early Thursday morning.
Most of the area will see just rainfall through the day on Thursday. Temperatures will rise and stay in the mid- to upper-50s.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny, noticeably cooler. High of 49.
THURSDAY: Scattered rain showers after a very brief mixing north of I-84. High of 57.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy, high of 56.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny. Seasonal. High of 52.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and cooler. High of 49.
